Possible Causes
Very hot wash program (90°C) combined with long duration, Faulty thermostat allowing overheating, Poor insulation around front of tub, Blocked cooling vents
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Use caution when touching the door during or after hot cycles. Keep children away.
- Program selection: Confirm that you are using the intended temperature. High-temperature cotton cycles will make the door warm to hot, which can be normal.
- Check for overheating: If you suspect the water is hotter than selected (e.g. 40°C program feels like boiling), have the NTC and heater control checked as per F03/F07.
- Ventilation: Ensure the washer has adequate space around it for heat dissipation and that any cooling vents are not blocked.
If the door becomes dangerously hot or plastic parts show signs of deformation, stop using the machine and have it inspected.
