Possible Causes
Frequent low-temperature washes, Detergent and softener buildup in sump and door seal, Blocked or dirty pump filter, Poor drainage causing stagnant water
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer before cleaning internal parts.
- Clean pump filter: Remove and clean the filter as described for F05. Ensure no debris remains.
- Clean door seal: Wipe the seal folds with a cloth soaked in hot water and mild detergent or diluted bleach. Remove any black slime or mold.
- Detergent drawer: Remove and scrub the drawer and housing to remove mold and residue.
- Run hot maintenance cycles: Run an empty 90°C cycle with a machine cleaner or 1–2 cups of white vinegar and a small amount of detergent. Repeat monthly.
- Improve usage habits: Leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open between washes to allow drying and reduce mold growth.
