Possible Causes
Transit bolts not removed on new installation, Worn or broken shock absorbers, Broken suspension springs, Unlevel or unstable floor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer. Do not place hands under a rocking machine while it is running.
- Check transit bolts: For recently installed machines, ensure all rear transit bolts and packing have been removed according to the Indesit installation manual.
- Level the machine: Adjust the front and rear feet so the washer is level and stable. Use a spirit level and lock the feet in place.
- Inspect shock absorbers: Remove the rear or front lower panel and inspect the dampers attached between the tub and base. If oil is leaking or they move too freely, replace them in pairs.
- Check suspension springs: From the top, inspect the springs holding the tub. Replace any that are stretched or broken.
- Load distribution: Avoid washing single heavy items; mix with other garments to balance the load.
