Possible Causes
Defective door lock assembly, Broken or misaligned door latch hook, Wiring issue between door lock and main control, Faulty main control board (PCB)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the IPSO washer from power and close the water supply valves before any disassembly.
Steps to check and correct:
- Inspect the door: Open and close the door firmly. Check that the door closes evenly and that the latch hook engages fully with the door lock on the cabinet.
- Check the latch hook: Look for cracks, bending, or looseness of the metal/plastic latch on the door. If damaged, the door lock will not sense a closed door.
- Access the door lock: Remove the front panel or door seal clamp (depending on IPSO model) to reach the door lock assembly. Verify that the wiring connector is fully seated and that no pins are burnt or corroded.
- Test the door lock coil: With a multimeter set to resistance, measure the lock coil terminals. Compare to IPSO service specs (typically a few kΩ). An open circuit indicates a failed lock.
- Reset and test: Reconnect power, close the door firmly, and try a short cycle. If E01 persists after confirming wiring and latch condition, the door lock assembly should be replaced.
- If still unresolved: The main control board may not be sending voltage to the lock. This requires advanced live-voltage testing and is best handled by a qualified IPSO technician.
