Possible Causes
Severely unbalanced load, Faulty out-of-balance switch or sensor, Worn suspension springs or shock absorbers, Tachometer feedback error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before internal inspection. Do not bypass safety switches.
Steps to check and correct:
- Redistribute the load: Open the door (once unlocked) and redistribute heavy items evenly around the drum. Avoid washing single heavy items alone.
- Run a spin-only test: With the drum empty, run a spin cycle. If the machine spins normally, the issue may be user-loading related.
- Inspect suspension: Remove the front or rear panel and check tub suspension springs and shock absorbers. Look for broken springs, oil leakage from shocks, or detached mounts.
- Check out-of-balance switch/sensor: On some IPSO models, an out-of-balance switch is mounted to the tub or cabinet. Verify secure mounting and wiring. Test continuity while gently moving the tub according to service instructions.
- Verify tachometer: If E07 appears with light loads and good suspension, test the motor tachometer as described for motor faults. Incorrect speed feedback can trigger spin protection.
- If mechanical parts are good: The control board may be misinterpreting signals. This requires advanced diagnostics by an IPSO technician.
