Safety first: Unplug the washer. Inverter circuits can retain dangerous voltages; wait several minutes for capacitors to discharge.

Steps to check and correct:

Inspect connections: Access the inverter module (often mounted near the motor or in the base). Check all power and motor connectors for tight fit and signs of overheating.
Check supply voltage: Verify that the building supply voltage matches the IPSO washer rating. Large deviations can trigger E20.
Test motor windings: Disconnect the motor from the inverter and measure winding resistance and insulation resistance to ground. Shorted windings require motor replacement.
Visual inspection of inverter: Look for burnt components or bulging capacitors. If present, replace the inverter module.
Re-test: After replacing any faulty parts, clear the error by disconnecting power for several minutes and run a test cycle.
