How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before replacing the gasket.
Steps to check and correct:
- Assess damage: If tears are present, replacement is recommended even if no leak is currently visible.
- Remove old gasket: Remove the outer retaining clamp, peel the gasket off the front panel, then remove the inner clamp from the tub lip.
- Install new gasket: Fit the new IPSO door boot onto the tub lip, ensuring alignment marks are correct, then install the inner clamp. Fit the gasket to the front panel and install the outer clamp.
- Clean surrounding area: Wipe the front panel and tub lip to remove mold and residue before fitting the new gasket.
- Test: Run a fill and wash test to ensure no leaks.
