Possible Causes

Stuck water inlet valve, faulty water level pressure switch, wiring issue between pressure switch and control, heater circuit fault triggering safety logic

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Unplug the washer and shut off both hot and cold water supply valves.

Step-by-step checks:

  • Check water valves: Turn water back on and observe fill. If water continues to enter when the washer is off, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
  • Inspect pressure system: Remove the top panel and inspect the pressure hose and switch as described for F05. Clear any blockages and ensure tight connections.
  • Check for leaks into tub: With power off but water on, watch the tub for slow seepage through the valve. Any drip indicates a leaking valve.
  • Heater cross-check: If your model ties F08 to heater issues, test the heater and thermostats as in F07.

When to replace: Replace the water inlet valve if it leaks or fails to close. Replace the pressure switch if it does not respond to pressure changes. If components are good, suspect the main control.
