Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and close the water faucets before working on hoses or valves.
- Check household water supply: Ensure both hot and cold faucets feeding the Little Swan washer are fully open and that there is normal water pressure at the tap.
- Inspect inlet hoses: Turn off water, disconnect the hoses from the rear of the washer, and check for kinks, crushing, or internal blockage. Straighten or replace hoses if damaged.
- Clean inlet filters: At the connection ports on the washer’s water inlet valve, remove the small mesh filters with needle‑nose pliers, rinse under running water, and reinstall. Do not operate without filters.
- Check for leaks or kinks in pressure hose: Remove the top cover, locate the thin pressure hose from the tub to the water level sensor, and ensure it is not kinked, cracked, or disconnected. Re-seat or replace if damaged.
- Test inlet valve coil (advanced): With power disconnected, remove the rear/top panel to access the water inlet valve assembly. Use a multimeter to check coil resistance; an open coil indicates a bad valve that must be replaced.
If E1 persists after these checks, the main control board may not be energizing the valve correctly and professional diagnosis is recommended.
