Possible Causes

Open or shorted NTC sensor, Loose NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness to heater sensor, Moisture ingress into sensor housing

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and allow it to cool before working near the heater or tub.

  • Locate the NTC sensor: On many Little Swan models, the NTC is mounted in the heater bracket at the bottom of the tub. Remove the rear panel to access it.
  • Check connector: Ensure the NTC plug is firmly attached and free of corrosion or detergent residue. Clean and reseat if necessary.
  • Measure resistance: Disconnect the NTC and measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare to the service manual chart. A reading near 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a bad sensor.
  • Replace NTC sensor: If faulty, remove the old sensor from its bracket or grommet and install a compatible Little Swan NTC, ensuring a snug, watertight fit.
