Possible Causes
Loose or damaged motor tachometer sensor, Faulty BLDC motor hall sensor, Loose motor wiring harness, Defective main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing any panels. Do not run the machine with covers removed.
- Check for overload or unbalanced load: Open the door, redistribute laundry evenly, and remove heavy items if the drum is overfilled. Run a spin-only cycle to see if the error clears.
- Inspect motor wiring: Remove the rear panel to access the drive motor. Verify that the multi-pin connector to the motor and hall/tach sensor is fully seated and free of corrosion or burnt marks. Reseat connectors firmly.
- Examine tachometer/hall sensor: On many Little Swan direct-drive motors, the hall sensor is mounted at the rear of the stator. Check for physical damage, cracked housing, or broken wires. Replace the sensor if damaged.
- Check for loose rotor: Ensure the rotor bolt at the back of the drum (for direct-drive models) is tight. A loose rotor can cause erratic speed feedback.
- Advanced testing: Use a multimeter to verify hall sensor output according to the service manual. If sensor and wiring are good, the main PCB may be faulty and should be evaluated or replaced by a technician.
