Possible Causes
Door lock mechanism sticking, High water level not fully drained, Drum still too hot, Control board not sending unlock signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not force the door open. Unplug the washer before attempting manual release.
- Wait a few minutes: Many Little Swan models delay unlocking until the drum stops completely and cools slightly.
- Check for remaining water: If water is visible through the door, run a drain/spin cycle. A high water level will keep the door locked.
- Use emergency release: Access the manual release cord or lever near the door lock from the lower front panel and pull gently.
- Inspect door lock: If the problem recurs, replace the door lock assembly, as its internal mechanism may be sticking.
