Possible Causes
Frequent cold washes, Excess detergent use, Door kept closed between cycles, Clogged drain trap retaining dirty water
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use gloves and eye protection when handling cleaning chemicals.
- Run a drum clean cycle: Use the built-in tub clean program if available, with a washing machine cleaner or 1–2 cups of white vinegar (no laundry inside).
- Clean door gasket: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth soaked in mild bleach solution. Remove lint, hair, and residue.
- Clean pump filter: Open the lower access door, remove the filter, and clean out trapped debris that can cause odors.
- Improve ventilation: Leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open between washes to allow the interior to dry.
