Possible Causes
Loose hose clamp on tub-to-pump hose, Cracked sump hose, Leaking heater gasket, Failed main tub seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and close water supply valves. Water inside the cabinet can contact live parts.
- Identify leak source: Remove the rear and/or front lower panel. Run a short fill cycle while observing with a flashlight (keep clear of moving parts).
- Tighten or replace hoses: If water drips from a hose joint, tighten the clamp or replace the hose and clamp if they are corroded or cracked.
- Check heater seal: Inspect around the heater mounting area at the bottom of the tub. If water seeps from the gasket, remove the heater, clean the sealing surface, and install a new gasket or heater assembly.
- Main seal issues: If water appears around the drive shaft or rear bearing area, the main tub seal may have failed, requiring tub/bearing replacement.
