Washer makes a loud banging or knocking noise during spin.

Safety first: Press pause or unplug the washer immediately to prevent damage.

• Redistribute load: Open the door when safe, separate heavy items, and remove some laundry if the drum is overfilled.
• Inspect suspension: Remove the top and rear panels. Check that all springs are intact and that shocks are firmly attached and not leaking oil.
• Check counterweights: Inspect the concrete or cast-iron weights on the tub for cracks or loose bolts. Tighten bolts or replace damaged weights.

If banging continues after load correction, replace worn suspension components.
