Possible Causes
Closed water tap, Blocked inlet hose filter screens, Defective Miele water inlet valve, Faulty water level pressure switch or hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and close the water tap before working on hoses or valves.
- Check water supply: Ensure the building water tap feeding the washer is fully open and that other taps in the house have normal pressure.
- Inspect inlet hoses: Turn off the tap, unscrew the Miele inlet hose(s) from the tap and from the rear of the machine. Remove and rinse the small metal filter screens inside the hose ends and valve ports. Refit securely.
- Check for kinked hoses: Make sure the blue or red Miele inlet hoses are not kinked or crushed behind the machine.
- Test fill: Turn water back on, plug in, and run a cottons cycle. If F10 returns quickly, the inlet valve or pressure system may be faulty.
- Advanced check (experienced users only): With power disconnected, access the top panel, locate the water inlet valve assembly, and inspect wiring connectors for burning or looseness. Do not bypass safety devices. If the valve coil is open-circuit or the pressure switch hose is split or off, replacement is required.
If you are not comfortable opening the machine or working with mains voltage, contact a Miele-authorized technician.
