Possible Causes
Faulty motor tachometer sensor, Worn carbon brushes (on brush motor models), Loose motor plug, Defective motor control electronics
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing the motor.
- Check load and balance: Ensure the drum is not overloaded or severely unbalanced. Remove heavy items and retry.
- Inspect motor connections: Remove rear panel, locate the drive motor, and check that the multi-pin connector is fully seated.
- Brush inspection (if fitted): On older Miele models with brushed motors, remove the motor and inspect carbon brushes for wear (shorter than ~1 cm). Replace as a set if worn.
- If F29 persists: The tachometer coil or motor control module may be defective and should be tested by a professional.
