Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Faulty drive motor, Defective motor control module, Open-circuit motor harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing any panels.
- Check drum by hand: Rotate the drum manually. If it spins freely but never turns during a cycle, suspect a drive issue.
- Inspect belt: Remove the rear panel and check if the belt is still on the motor and drum pulleys. If off or broken, replace with the correct Miele belt.
- Check motor connections: Ensure the motor plug is fully seated and wiring is intact.
- If belt and wiring are fine: The motor or motor control electronics may be faulty and should be tested by a technician.
