Possible Causes
Clogged inlet water filter screens, Defective water inlet valve assembly, Low mains water pressure, Kinked or blocked inlet hoses
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and close the water supply taps before disconnecting hoses.
- Check water supply: Confirm both hot and cold taps (if fitted) are fully open and that household water pressure is adequate. Try filling a bucket from the same tap to verify flow.
- Inspect inlet hoses: Pull the washer forward, ensure hoses are not kinked or crushed behind the machine.
- Clean inlet filters: Turn off taps, unscrew the hoses from the rear of the Primus washer. Inside the valve inlets are small mesh filters; gently remove and clean them under running water. Reinstall carefully.
- Test fill: Reconnect hoses, open taps, restore power, and start a fill cycle. If E02 persists, proceed.
- Check inlet valve coil: With power disconnected, remove the top or rear panel to access the water inlet valve assembly. Inspect wiring connectors. Use a multimeter to check coil resistance; an open coil indicates a failed valve.
- Replace inlet valve: If defective, remove mounting screws, transfer hoses one by one to the new valve, secure clamps, reconnect wiring, and reassemble the cabinet.
