Possible Causes

Blocked pressure switch air dome or hose, Defective water level pressure sensor, Stuck water inlet valve, Wiring fault between pressure sensor and control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and close water taps immediately if overfilling occurs.

  • Check water inlet valve: With power disconnected and taps closed, remove the inlet hoses. If water continues to flow through the valve when taps are opened and the machine is unplugged, the valve is mechanically stuck and must be replaced.
  • Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top panel to access the pressure sensor (usually a round device with a small rubber hose). Follow the hose down to the tub air dome. Check for kinks, splits, or blockages (soap residue, lint).
  • Clean or replace hose: Detach the hose and blow through it; it should be clear. Rinse with warm water if clogged. Refit securely to avoid air leaks.
  • Check pressure sensor: Inspect the connector for corrosion or loose pins. If the sensor rattles internally or shows no change in resistance when pressure is applied (advanced test), replace it.
  • Test operation: Reassemble, restore power, and run a short fill test while monitoring water level. If E04 reappears, the main control PCB may require professional diagnosis.
