Possible Causes

Worn or broken shock absorbers, Loose or broken tub suspension springs, Counterweight bolts loose, Washer not leveled on floor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer before tilting or moving it. Use two people for heavy commercial Primus units.

  • Check leveling: Adjust the front and rear feet so the washer is stable and does not rock. Tighten lock nuts.
  • Inspect shocks: Remove front lower or rear panel to view shock absorbers. If they move freely with little resistance or show oil leakage, replace them in pairs.
  • Check suspension springs: From the top or rear, inspect the tub suspension springs for stretching, rust, or breakage. Replace any damaged springs with Primus-approved parts.
  • Verify counterweights: Inspect concrete or cast-iron counterweights on the tub. Ensure mounting bolts are tight and weights are not cracked.
  • Test with small load: After repairs, run a spin cycle with a small, evenly distributed load to confirm vibration is controlled and E12 does not reappear.
