Possible Causes
Leaking door seal (gasket), Loose or cracked tub-to-pump hose, Leaking drain pump housing, Loose hose clamps or fittings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and close water taps. Be prepared for water in the base tray.
- Access base: Remove the front lower panel or rear panel to inspect the base tray. If there is a float switch, it may have triggered due to water.
- Locate leak source: Dry the base and run a short fill cycle while observing with a flashlight. Look for drips from the door seal, hoses, pump, or tub.
- Door seal check: Inspect the rubber door gasket for tears, holes, or mold damage. Replace if compromised.
- Hose and clamp inspection: Check the tub-to-pump hose, pump-to-drain hose, and inlet hoses for cracks or loose clamps. Tighten or replace as needed.
- Drain pump housing: Examine the pump body for hairline cracks or leaks around the seal. Replace the pump if leaking.
- Reset leak protection: Once the leak is fixed and the base is completely dry, the float switch will reset and E13 should clear on the next cycle.
