How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before attempting to remove foreign objects.
- Localize noise: Slowly rotate the drum by hand and listen for the point of contact. Shine a flashlight through the drum holes to look for metal objects.
- Remove via heater opening: On many Primus models, removing the heater from the rear of the tub provides access to the space between drum and tub. Carefully extract objects with long-nose pliers.
- Check door seal area: Inspect the front of the drum and seal for trapped items and remove them.
- Prevent recurrence: Advise using laundry bags for small items and checking pockets before washing.
