Possible Causes
Worn or stuck start/pause button, Faulty UI control board, Loose ribbon cable to main PCB, Moisture or detergent ingress into control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing the control panel.
- Panel cleaning: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth to remove detergent residue. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
- Check button travel: Press the start button repeatedly to feel for sticking. If it does not click, the switch may be worn.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control fascia and reseat the ribbon cable between UI and main PCB.
- Replace UI board: If the button or switches are defective, replace the user interface board with a Primus-compatible part.
