Possible Causes
Failed water level sensor on control, Pressure hose kinked or leaking, Air trap on tub blocked, Control board input circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply before servicing.
- Step 1 – Inspect pressure hose: As with F1E3, check the hose from tub to control for kinks, cracks, or disconnections. Clear any blockages.
- Step 2 – Check for water in hose: Remove the hose from the control and ensure no water is trapped inside. Water in the hose can cause false readings.
- Step 3 – Clean air trap: At the tub connection, clean any detergent or lint buildup that could block air flow.
- Step 4 – Visual inspection of control: Look for burn marks or corrosion around the pressure sensor area on the control board.
If the hose and air trap are clear and intact but F3E1 continues, the water level sensor or main control board will likely need replacement.
