Possible Causes
Thermistor reading out of expected range, Incorrect water supply temperature, Thermistor wiring issue, Control misreading sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply before servicing.
- Step 1 – Check water supply temperature: Run hot and cold water at the nearest faucet. Ensure hot is hot and cold is cold. Correct any plumbing cross-connections.
- Step 2 – Inspect thermistor (if separate from F3E2 sensor): Locate the inlet temperature sensor and check wiring and connector for damage.
- Step 3 – Reset control: After verifying supply temperatures, unplug washer for 5 minutes, then retry a cycle.
If F3E3 persists and the thermistor and wiring check good, the main control may require replacement.
