Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the washer immediately and turn off both water supply valves if water is overflowing.
- Step 1 – Stop water flow: Shut off hot and cold supply valves. Mop up any spilled water to prevent damage.
- Step 2 – Check inlet valves: With the washer unplugged and water turned back on briefly, see if water continues to enter the tub. If so, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
- Step 3 – Inspect pressure hose: Ensure the hose from tub to control is securely attached and not cracked or off.
- Step 4 – Verify drain hose height: Ensure the drain hose is installed at the correct height (usually 39–96 inches). A hose that is too low can cause siphoning and confusing water level readings.
Do not operate the washer until the cause of overflow is corrected. Replace the inlet valve or repair the pressure system as needed.
