Possible Causes
Loose or cracked drain hose, Leaking tub-to-pump hose, Faulty water inlet valve or supply hose, Tub seal or bearing failure causing leak at center
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply before inspecting for leaks.
- Step 1 – Identify leak location: Run a short fill or rinse cycle while observing under and around the washer. Use a flashlight to trace water source.
- Step 2 – Check hoses and clamps: Tighten or replace loose clamps on the tub-to-pump hose and drain hose. Replace hoses that are cracked or swollen.
- Step 3 – Inspect inlet connections: Check the water inlet valve and supply hoses for drips. Replace rubber washers or hoses if leaking.
- Step 4 – Center tub leak: If water drips from the center bottom of the tub where the shaft exits, the tub seal and possibly bearing are failing and require major service.
