Possible Causes
Water leak into base tray, Faulty or stuck float switch, Loose hose or clamp inside cabinet, Cracked tub or pump housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply immediately. Be prepared for water spillage when tilting the machine.
Step-by-step checks:
- Access base tray: Carefully tilt the washer backward and look underneath. Many Rosières models have a base tray with a float switch.
- Drain the tray: If water is present, soak it up with towels or carefully tip the machine to pour water out (protect the floor).
- Locate the leak: Remove side or rear panels and inspect all hoses (inlet, sump, drain), the pump, and the tub for drips or water marks. Run a short fill cycle while observing (with panels safely in place and no exposed live parts).
- Secure or replace components: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, and if the pump housing or tub is cracked, replace the affected part.
- Check float switch: Ensure the float moves freely and the switch is not stuck in the activated position. Clean or replace if necessary.
Warning: Do not bypass the anti-flood system; it is a critical safety feature.
