Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between UI and main PCB, Faulty control panel PCB, Moisture ingress into control fascia, Main PCB communication fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing the control panel.
Step-by-step checks:
- Dry the fascia: If the panel has been splashed, allow it to dry completely. Do not use the machine until dry.
- Check connectors: Remove the top cover and, if necessary, the control panel screws. Inspect the ribbon cable and connectors between the user interface and main PCB. Reseat them carefully.
- Inspect for corrosion: Look for green/white deposits on connectors or tracks. Light corrosion can sometimes be cleaned with contact cleaner; heavy damage usually requires PCB replacement.
Note: Control electronics are delicate; if reseating cables does not resolve E14, a professional diagnosis is recommended.
