Possible Causes
Clogged inlet mesh filters, Faulty Samsung water inlet valve solenoid, Kinked or frozen inlet hoses, Low or no water from household supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug washer and close water supply valves.
- Verify household supply: Open the faucets feeding the washer into a bucket to confirm strong flow. If weak, call a plumber.
- Clean filters: Remove hoses from the washer, pull out the small mesh filters in the valve inlets, clean thoroughly, and reinstall.
- Check for freezing: In cold climates, ensure hoses and valves are not frozen. Thaw safely and insulate if needed.
- Valve test: If water supply and filters are fine but the washer still shows 4E, the water inlet valve solenoids may not be opening. Replacement involves removing the top panel, disconnecting electrical connectors and outlet hoses, and installing a new OEM valve assembly.
