Possible Causes

Load too small or too large, Bedding or heavy items tangled, Worn suspension rods or dampers, Faulty hall sensor (motor position sensor)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Keep hands clear of moving drum; unplug if you need to reach inside.

  • Redistribute load: Open the door when safe, separate tangled items, and balance heavy items (e.g., towels, blankets) evenly around the drum.
  • Adjust load size: Avoid single heavy items; add a few more items to help balance.
  • Level the washer: Use a level to check side-to-side and front-to-back. Adjust leveling feet and lock nuts to stabilize the machine.
  • Inspect suspension: If UE occurs frequently with normal loads, the suspension rods (top-load) or shock absorbers (front-load) may be worn and should be inspected and replaced in sets.
