Detergent and fabric softener residue, Standing water in door gasket folds, Infrequent hot washes, Clogged drain holes in gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Use gloves and ensure good ventilation when using cleaners.
- Clean door gasket: Pull back the door boot gasket and wipe all folds with a cloth soaked in a mild bleach solution or washer cleaner. Clear any blocked drain holes at the bottom of the gasket.
- Run tub clean: Use the washer's Self Clean or Eco Drum Clean cycle with a washing machine cleaner or a cup of white vinegar (if allowed by Samsung for your model).
- Leave door open: After each wash, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow drying.
- Use less detergent: Use only HE detergent in the recommended amount to reduce residue.
