Possible Causes

Loose wiring harness between user interface and main PCB, Faulty main control board, Defective user interface board, Electrical noise or surge damage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the top or control panel.

Steps to check and address E10:

  • Power reset: Unplug the washer for 10–15 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then reconnect and try again.
  • Inspect control connections: Remove the top cover and, if necessary, the front control fascia. Check ribbon cables and connectors between the display/control panel and main PCB. Reseat all plugs firmly.
  • Look for moisture: Check for signs of water ingress around the control panel or top of the machine. Dry any moisture and address leaks from the detergent drawer or hoses.

When to call a technician: If E10 persists after reseating connectors, one of the control boards is likely defective and should be tested and replaced by a Siemens technician.
