Possible Causes

Defective flow meter (on inlet valve assembly), Blocked flow meter by debris, Loose wiring to flow sensor, Control board misreading pulses

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and close water taps before working on the inlet system.

Steps to check and address E11:

  • Clean inlet filters and hoses: As with E02, ensure good water flow and clean filters to avoid starving the flow meter.
  • Inspect the flow meter: On many Siemens models, the flow meter is integrated with or attached to the inlet valve. Remove the top cover, locate the valve, and check the small sensor and wiring.
  • Check wiring: Ensure the flow meter connector is fully seated and wires are not damaged.
  • Replace flow meter if faulty: If water flow is good but E11 persists, replace the inlet valve/flow meter assembly with a Siemens-compatible part.

When to call a technician: If a new flow meter does not resolve the issue, the control board may be at fault and requires professional diagnosis.
