Washer displays E13 and may stop; sometimes associated with water in base tray

Safety first: Unplug the washer and close the water tap immediately to prevent flooding.

Steps to check and address E13:

• Check for visible leaks: Look around and under the machine for water. If the base tray is full, carefully tilt the machine slightly (with help) to drain water from the base onto towels.
• Inspect AquaStop hose: If your Siemens washer has an AquaStop inlet hose, check the hose casing and connections for leaks or damage. Replace the AquaStop hose if compromised.
• Remove panels and inspect: With power off, remove the rear or side panels to inspect internal hoses, pump, and tub seals for drips or mineral trails.
• Check float switch: In the base tray, ensure the float switch moves freely and is not stuck by debris. Dry the tray completely.

When to call a technician: If you cannot locate the leak source, or if the outer tub or main seals are leaking, professional repair is strongly recommended.
