Washer does not spin or spins only very slowly; clothes come out very wet

Safety first: Unplug the washer before internal checks.

Steps to restore spin:

• Check for standing water: If water remains in the drum, clean the pump filter and drain hose as described for E18.
• Rebalance load: Remove some items if the drum is overfilled, or add a few items if there is a single heavy piece. Run a spin-only program.
• Inspect motor and tach: If the machine never reaches high speed, check motor brushes and tachometer connections as in E06.

When to call a technician: Persistent spin issues with clear drainage and balanced loads may indicate motor or control faults requiring professional service.
