Possible Causes
Stuck water inlet valve, Blocked pressure sensor hose, Faulty pressure sensor, Control board not shutting off fill
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply immediately to prevent flooding.
- 1. Stop water flow: Close both hot and cold supply valves.
- 2. Drain excess water: Use a drain/spin cycle if possible, or manually bail water and lower the drain hose into a bucket.
- 3. Inspect inlet valve: If water continues to enter with power off, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
- 4. Check pressure hose: Access the pressure sensor and inspect the hose for kinks, disconnections, or soap residue blockages. Clean and reattach securely.
- 5. Replace pressure sensor: If the hose is clear but the machine misreads level, replace the pressure sensor.
- 6. Control board: Persistent overfill with good valve and sensor may indicate a faulty control board; seek professional service.
