Possible Causes
Partially clogged inlet valve screens, Low household water pressure, Failing water inlet valve, Partially blocked pressure hose or pressure sensor port
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and shut off water before servicing.
- 1. Verify water pressure: Check water flow at a nearby faucet. If pressure is low, correct plumbing issues first.
- 2. Clean inlet screens thoroughly: Remove hoses and clean both ends (hose screens and valve screens). Mineral buildup is common on Speed Queen commercial-grade valves.
- 3. Inspect pressure hose: Access the pressure sensor (usually near the control) and follow the small rubber hose down to the tub. Ensure it is not kinked, pinched, or clogged with soap residue. Clear any blockage and reseat firmly.
- 4. Replace inlet valve: If fill remains slow on one or both temperatures after cleaning, replace the water inlet valve assembly.
- 5. Sensor/control check: If mechanical parts are good, the pressure sensor or control board may be mis-timing the fill. This is an advanced repair and may require a technician.
