Possible Causes
Mechanically stuck open inlet valve, Shorted inlet valve coil, Blocked or disconnected pressure hose, Failed pressure switch/sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Immediately turn off water supply and unplug the washer to prevent flooding.
- 1. Observe with power off: If water continues to enter with the washer unplugged, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
- 2. Inspect pressure hose: If water stops with power off, check the pressure hose from tub to pressure switch for kinks, disconnections, or blockages. Clear and reconnect.
- 3. Test pressure switch/sensor: On mechanical switches, blow gently into the hose and listen for clicks. On electronic sensors, test per service specs. Replace if faulty.
- 4. Replace inlet valve: If the valve leaks or does not close fully when de-energized, install a new water inlet valve assembly.
