Possible Causes

Defective analog pressure sensor, Blocked pressure hose, Air chamber on tub clogged with residue, Wiring fault to pressure sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power and ensure the drum is drained before working on the pressure system.

  • Clean pressure hose and chamber: Remove the top cover, locate the pressure sensor and its hose. Detach the hose at the tub end and clean the air chamber connection with a small brush or pipe cleaner to remove soap scum. Rinse the hose and refit securely.
  • Inspect hose for damage: Replace the hose if it is brittle, cracked, or loose on its fittings, as air leaks will cause incorrect level readings.
  • Check sensor connector: Reseat the plug on the pressure sensor and inspect for corrosion or bent pins.
  • Replace pressure sensor: If cleaning does not resolve E31, fit a new Zanussi-compatible analog pressure sensor, transferring any mounting brackets as needed.

If the fault persists with a new sensor and clear hose, the main PCB may not be interpreting the signal correctly and should be checked by a technician.
