Washer shows E41 and indicates the door is open even when it appears closed.

Safety: Disconnect power before adjusting hinges or replacing the lock.

• Check door alignment: Gently lift the door to see if there is excessive play. Tighten hinge screws or replace the hinge if worn.
• Inspect door catch: Replace the plastic or metal catch on the door if it is cracked or worn down.
• Replace door lock: If mechanical parts are sound but E41 persists, replace the door interlock unit with a Zanussi-approved part.

After replacement, test several start/stop cycles to confirm the door is detected correctly.
