Possible Causes
Torn or punctured door seal, Foreign object trapped in seal, Loose retaining band, Excessive suds overflowing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer and mop up any spilled water to avoid slipping.
- Inspect seal: Pull back the rubber door gasket and check for tears, holes, or trapped objects like coins or bra wires. Remove any debris.
- Check retaining bands: Ensure the outer and inner metal or wire bands are tight and correctly seated in their grooves. Refit or replace if loose.
- Replace seal: If damaged, remove the front retaining band, peel off the old seal, and fit a new Zanussi door gasket, aligning the drain holes at the bottom.
- Use correct detergent: Use HE detergent and avoid over-dosing to reduce suds-related leaks.
