ACV
Condensate Leakage
Condensate water dripping from casing or joints instead of drain pipe
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Cracked ACV condensate trap, Disconnected condensate hose, Blocked condensate outlet causing overflow, Incorrect slope on condensate pipe
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Condensate is mildly acidic; wear gloves and eye protection.
- 1. Locate leak: Remove the front panel and trace the path of condensate from the ACV heat exchanger to the trap and drain.
- 2. Check connections: Ensure all rubber hoses and plastic pipes are firmly connected and clamped.
- 3. Inspect trap: Remove the condensate trap and check for cracks or damage. Replace if necessary.
- 4. Clear blockage: Flush the condensate line with water to remove sludge or debris. Ensure the pipe slopes continuously downward to the drain.
After repair, run the heater and confirm that all condensate flows correctly to the drain without leaks.
