Possible Causes

Open or shorted outlet NTC sensor, Loose sensor clamp on pipe, Damaged sensor wiring, Faulty control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn OFF power and allow pipes to cool before touching.

  • Locate outlet sensor: Identify the Alpha outlet temperature sensor on the hot water outlet pipe or heat exchanger outlet.
  • Check mounting: Ensure the sensor is firmly clamped to the pipe or inserted fully into its well, with thermal paste if specified by Alpha.
  • Inspect wiring: Look for frayed insulation, loose connectors, or signs of overheating. Reseat the connector on the control board.
  • Test sensor: Measure resistance and compare to the Alpha chart. Replace the sensor if readings are out of range.

If replacing the sensor does not resolve E07, the control board’s sensor input circuit may be defective and require professional replacement.
