Possible Causes
Unstable gas supply pressure, Dirty burner, Faulty flame sensor, Combustion air disruption (wind, vent issues)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF gas and power before inspecting combustion components.
- Check gas supply stability: If other gas appliances flicker or go out, contact your gas supplier.
- Clean burner: Remove the Alpha burner assembly and clean ports with a soft brush and compressed air. Do not use wire that can enlarge ports.
- Inspect flame sensor: Clean and inspect as described under E02.
- Check vent terminations: Ensure the Alpha vent is not subject to strong prevailing winds or blocked by structures. Install a wind-resistant termination if recommended by Alpha.
If flame loss continues, a technician should perform a full combustion analysis and gas pressure test.
