Electronic gas water heater shows E07; blower may not start or may run continuously without ignition.

Safety: Turn off power and gas. The blower is part of the combustion system; improper repair can be hazardous.

• 1. Inspect blower wiring: Remove the upper access panel and locate the blower assembly. Check the multi-pin connector for secure fit and no signs of burning or corrosion.
• 2. Check for obstructions: Remove the blower housing cover (if serviceable) and inspect the wheel for debris, insulation, or insect nests. Clean carefully without bending the blades.
• 3. Test blower operation: With power restored and gas still off, call for heat and observe whether the blower starts. If it hums but does not spin, the motor may be seized. If it does not energize at all, check for voltage at the blower terminals when a call for heat is present.
• 4. Verify venting: Excessive static pressure from improper vent length or fittings can overload the blower. Compare the installed vent configuration to the installation manual.
• 5. Replace blower assembly: If the blower does not run with proper voltage applied, or if it is noisy and unstable, replace the entire blower assembly. Ensure gaskets are properly seated and all screws are tightened to prevent flue gas leakage.
