How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and allow the water to cool before draining. Close the cold water supply.

  • Drain the tank partially or completely via the drain valve.
  • Remove the heating element flange and inspect the element for thick limescale deposits.
  • Descale the element using a suitable descaling solution or replace it with a new Atlantic heating element if heavily encrusted.
  • Rinse the inside of the tank to remove loose scale particles.
