Possible Causes

Blocked water inlet filter on Baxi cold inlet, Stuck or scaled water flow turbine, Faulty flow sensor (Hall effect) on Baxi water module, Low mains water pressure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and close the cold water isolation valve before opening any water connections.

Steps:

  • Check water pressure: Open a nearby cold tap to confirm good mains pressure. If pressure is low, contact your water supplier.
  • Clean inlet filter: Close the cold inlet valve to the heater. Remove the inlet union and clean the mesh filter inside the Baxi inlet assembly. Rinse debris and reinstall.
  • Inspect flow sensor/turbine: On many Baxi water heaters, the flow sensor is integrated into a plastic water block. Remove the sensor/turbine assembly and check for limescale or debris. Clean gently and ensure it spins freely.
  • Check wiring: Ensure the flow sensor connector is firmly attached to the control PCB.

Professional: If E07 remains, the flow sensor or water block may need replacement, which is best done by a qualified technician to avoid leaks.
