Safety: Turn off gas and power before accessing the burner or electrodes.

• 1. Reset and observe flame: After reset, observe the burner through the inspection window. Flame should be stable and blue. Yellow tips or pulsing indicate combustion issues.
• 2. Clean burner: A technician should remove the burner assembly and clean it with a soft brush and compressed air, removing dust and debris from the ports.
• 3. Check ionization electrode position: Ensure the electrode is correctly positioned in the flame envelope and not too far from the burner surface.
• 4. Verify appliance earth: Confirm that the Beretta water heater is properly earthed at the mains connection and that all earth wires are secure.
• 5. Gas adjustment (technician-only): Using a flue gas analyzer, a qualified technician should verify and adjust the gas valve settings to achieve correct CO₂/O₂ levels.
